Rave Reviews

"Would highly recommend Ashleigh and hope to work with her again!"

"Ashleigh was a great developer to work with! The design of the website was not an easy one but she made it work despite some twists and turns. Also, she's probably the fastest developer that has ever lived. She had most of the site developed in only a matter of days."

- Zoë Boudreau, Designer

Taking your mockups from Figma (or XD) to the browser in five days flat.

While Squarespace and Webflow are user-friendly platforms, sloppy coding and lack of attention to detail can turn the site into a nightmare real fast. I always want to make sure that you and your client feel comfortable and confident about maintaining the site once it's launched.

Here’s what a typical development week looks like:

02

Prep-Work

At least one week before development starts, you'll upload all of the project assets into our Notion project management system including your client approved website design mockups and comments on the design about functionalities or interactions.

Didn’t create the mobile version of your design? No worries! I’ll use my designer brain to make your design responsive as I’m building it and you’ll have multiple opportunities to refine and give feedback for me to implement.

03

Development & Testing

You'll get a private demo link mid-week so you can see your design come to life in real-time. During this phase, we'll also be testing the site across multiple browsers and devices. We’ll use an online app to leave feedback on the live site.

04

Finalization & Launch

I'll prepare handoff materials that’ll make you look like a f*cking development genius to your client. This includes custom video walkthroughs showing how to update images, copy, and whatever else is important for them to know how to update their site whenever they want to post-project.

05

Launch Support

All support communications can come directly from you with me working invisibly in the background if needed. Your client never needs to know you have a developer in your pocket 👀

05

That's All Folks!

Why choose us?

As a designer myself, I already have a deep understanding of what makes design engaging, accessible, and user friendly.

Which allows me to be able to interpret the flow of your design and make sure that design mirrors the larger breakpoints logically and maintains usability (even if you choose not to include the mobile design in your finalized mockups, which is totally optional!)

With my code application process that's flexible and intuitive, it allows for you or your client to add, reuse, recreate, and update any custom coded section without having to know a line of CSS.

I’m a persistent troubleshooter and face challenges head on and swiftly to make sure that the site stays as close as possible to what you designed. We’ll have open lines of communication throughout the entire project for you to ask questions or bounce ideas off of in real time.

I've been designing and building websites since the Myspace days, so you can be sure you've got an absolute nerd with a "we'll figure it out!" type of attitude.

ALEO’s site is engaging with subtle animations. It features video backgrounds, tabbed layouts, and scrolling techniques that engage the viewer and showcases the architecture of the property.

Sleep Origin was founded by Natalie, an infant sleep consultant. The designer, Zoe Boudreau, contracted me to develop a Squarespace website built using Squarespace’s all in one CMS platform. The site is 6 pages including one blog storing and organizing Natalie’s articles.

I used Javascript and CSS where needed to expand the capabilities and limitations of Squarespace’s native platform to deliver a responsive, immersive, and colorful site based on Zoe’s design.

Fully licensed font files (if using fonts that the platform doesn't already provide) is required to be submitted via Notion before the project begins. It is not our legal responsibility to purchase these on your behalf or behalf of your clients.

Notes & Reminders

Squarepace Business Plan (or Higher) is required for squarespace projects.

To completely bring your design to live on Squarespace, we will need access to the Custom CSS panel and/or the Code Injection area of your site. Those areas are only available on the Business Plan or higher.

A Webflow workspace to transfer the demo site to is required for webflow projects.

Once the site is completely developed, I will transfer the site to you workspace or your client's. For the final site to launch, it will need to have any of the paid plans (not Starter).

Accessibility

While I don’t specialize in accessibility, I deeply care about meeting accessibility standards. However, since full compliance can only be achieved through constant monitoring of website, I highly recommend enlisting the services of an accessibility specialist if a guarantee in compliance is required.

I am willing to collaborate and make any necessary revisions to the work you or a specialist provides. We cannot be held responsible for any damages or additional work that may be necessary for compliance after the completion of this project.

Browser Compatibility

I adhere to industry-standard best practices in the development of sites and avoid using non-standard or experimental browser features. Typically, features are optimized for the two latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. Any other browser compatibility, such as Internet Explorer or Edge, can be considered a separate aspect of the project and discussed accordingly. It’s important to note that while we strive for cross-browser compatibility, websites may not appear identical on all browsers. However, we comply with responsiveness standards and optimize our designs to work seamlessly on key browsers.

Device Responsiveness

Our development process incorporates a wide range of device screen sizes, including those of smartphones, tablets, and desktop monitors. We follow the industry’s best practices and standards in responsive design, and test our designs on key screen sizes to make sure that they deliver a consistent experience.

However, it’s important to note that due to the vast array of device screen sizes and resolutions available in today’s market, it’s not possible to guarantee that the layout will look exactly the same across every single device or screen size. Minor variations may occur, especially on less common devices or screen sizes.

Website Performance

We build websites with performance in mind. This is measured primarily based on page loading speed. I use Google Lighthouse to gauge our success. Factors that can inform our approach include your current site, industry standards, and other relevant considerations.

When you work with us, you get a development superhero in your back pocket.

We know that bringing designs to life without compromise takes more than just coding skills—it takes someone who gets your creative vision and treats your work like their own.
