Anastasia spent her first five years experimenting and figuring out her business direction, target client, and aesthetic. She didn't want to invest in a major website overhaul until she was confident in her business identity and direction. Anastasia reached out to us because she felt it was time to level up her website to match the high quality of work she was delivering to her clients and to better support the vision she saw for her brand and business down the road. Her existing site wasn't reflecting her current position as an established, high-end floral designer, and she felt it was holding her back from making strong first impressions with her target luxury wedding clients.

Strategy & Goals

With Anastasia’s clearer vision of who the brand is and what she wants to brand to communicate visually to her audience, we deceded that a new color palette and typography combination was a great way to inject some freshness into the brand’s identity without a major overhaul.

COLOR PALETTE:
We created a dynamic palette that combines intense, saturated hues with unexpected accent colors to create striking visual impact. The stark contrast between colors creates immediate visual interest and memorability which was a key part of our overall goal for the new site and the updated brand identity. We really wanted to strike a balance of bright and neutral tones to keeps things sophisticated rather than overwhelming.

TYPOGRAPHY:
For type, we chose an elegant serif typeface with high contrast between thick and thin strokes, creating a refined and timeless aesthetic. Serifs are more “traditional” feeling typefaces, and we wanted to lean into those feelings of heritage and authority while maintaining a contemporary edge.

Website Strategy

With any outdated portfolio website for a creative service provider such as a floral designer, the first objective of a website redesign is to collect, organize and curate their usually extensive portfolio and find creative ways to showcase their work throughout the site in the best way possible. Floral designers are never without stunning imagery of their work, so that was the easiest part of the whole process!

The site is an immersive, editorial experience where each page unfolds with intentional pacing—alternating between full-bleed imagery that commands attention and carefully composed text blocks that invite deeper engagement.

We wanted to lean into the boldness of the color palette as much as possible without overwhelming the visitor and taking away the impact from the images. The terracotta, deep teal, and vibrant chartreuse were used to create dramatic frames for both imagery and content, while the cream color gave the page breathing room to prevent the saturated hues from overwhelming. This push-and-pull between intensity and restraint mirrors the sophistication Anastasia brings to her floral work—bold and memorable, yet refined and intentional.
